September 27th saw our final volunteer push to open up the last bit of the Skyline Trail. We all worked for 3 hours, and then just about 50 people witnessed as Gary Keller (BBVTF) and Jeanette Granger (USFS) cut the dual ribbons, marking 2 years and countless hours of work to get this wonderful trail open to the public.
As time goes on we will monitor usage, wear and tear, erosion, and user preferences, and we’ll make tweaks and adjustments. But for now, we’re taking a little bit of a break.
Thanks to EVERYONE who has supported this project, in any shape or form!
