National Trails Day

Join us June 1st at the Aspen Glen Picnic Area for National Trails Day.

National Trails Day is a day to celebrate the beautiful Bear Valley trails! Southern California Mountains Foundation is partnering with Kodiak Ultra Marathons to bring you a fun-filled day of running, hiking, and a chance to learn about and try out trail maintenance. It’s easy, fun, and family friendly!

Trail Maintenance will kick-off at 9am, while the trails runs and hike will start from 6-8am.

Registration is required for both trail maintenance (free) and the trail run/hike event, which is a fundraiser to support the Trails Foundation. To register, please follow these links:

We will work in small groups and each group will head up the trail on a rolling basis after arriving. We’ll all get down and dirty until about 12PM and then head back to the picnic area for the festivities. Please invite your family and friends to sign up to help! We hope all runners and hikers finishing before noon will join in the fun.

Open to all ages, children must be supervised.

All trail work volunteers will receive:

  • Trails Day swag item
  • Free lunch
  • Free beer (21+)
  • Raffle ticket

The TRAIL RUN is a fundraiser event supporting the Mountains Foundation and will consist of:

  • 5K – Hike or Run (8am)
  • Half Marathon Run (7am)
  • Marathon Run (6:30 am)
  • 50K Run (6am)

What’s included with your TRAIL RUN registration:

  • Event t-shirt
  • Finisher medal/award
  • Finish line food
  • Finish line beer (21+)
  • Aid Station support
  • Timed and marked course
  • A fun filled day with your family and friends!

If you joined us for our Trails Day event last year, you know you won’t want to miss out on the fun this year! We will again have a finish line festival with food, beer, and music. We will also be raffling off some super cool items donated by our generous sponsors.
