Big Bear Trails Supporter,

Quick update-

Tom Spiegel of Team Big Bear held his second Big Bear Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Dinner on Wednesday, October 2, at Nottingham’s. Stellar evening with all in attendance, as Larry Longo, the Cook Family (Driz, Dawn, Aaron, Maddy) and the late Dick Kun were inducted into the Hall of Fame! To top it off, all proceeds went towards our Trails Program. Thanks to Tom and of course the inductees for all they have done and continue to do for our valley.

As of last Saturday, we have 8 new, solid Trail Hosts! Welcome to the program Tom, Sandy, Bill, Laura, Nancy, Bob, Kirk, and Teresa! This is a powerhouse group that is going to be a big help. Thank you to each recruit for your time and for bringing your talents to the program.

What’s ahead:

October 26 – Trails Volunteer Celebration! The 2019 season is coming to a close and its high time we celebrate the trails and the volunteers that made them better… that’s you! This is our end of year shindig for any and all that volunteered their time or was involved in any of our trails efforts. We’re going to have great food, great beer, and it’s going to be all of us, so let’s party. 3pm-5pm at the Discovery Center… be there!

December 7 – Trail Mix’er. Come to eat, drink, socialize, plan volunteer trips, learn and participate in a brief program where we will cover things pertinent our trails related efforts. There are many exciting things to discuss and improve… with your help! This will indeed be a potluck style occasion, so start thinking about what to bring. 3-5pm at the Discovery Center. This date deviates from the normal schedule to combine November & December’s Mix’ers in light of the holiday season.

That’s it for now. See you out there-
